Many people believe that Jessica Simpson’s career, love-life and her dressing sense all went downhill when she divorced Nick Lachey in 2005. Us Weekly writes, along with the above pictures:

This former MTV darling once had it all - including a hot husband, a hit TV series and a killer wardrobe. But, that all changed when Jessica Simpson, 26, divorced Nick Lachey in 2005. Suddenly her fashion sense hit an all-time low (sweats, sneakers and baseball caps, oh my!) and has barely managed to rebound since her most recent break up with John Mayer in June of this year.
