Jessica shared her experience about leaving an abusive relationship at her headlining concert in California State Fair on August 25.

During the 80-minutes gig, she sang almost all tracks from her debut country music called “Do You Know”, which will be dropped to the market on September 9. During one song in particular, the singer nearly broke down in the performance with tears welling up in her eyes. When the tune came to an end, she merely said, “That’s a hard song to sing up here.”

Jessica revealed she has had “secret lovers”. Jess admits there are tracks on her debut country album ‘Do You Know’ which refer to her illicit love affairs.

She said: “There are guys that people don’t know that I’ve been in love with. I’ve had secret lovers.”

Jessica recently claimed she has been abused in the past, during a candid interview with America’s Elle magazine.

Happier personally and professionally than she’s been in a long time, Jessica Simpson tells People Magazine that boyfriend Tony Romo is her “perfect guy.”

“I just told him today, ‘You’re the love of my life,’ ” she confesses in the latest cover story. “I don’t really ever say that to anybody.”

Simpson, 28 (as is Dallas Cowboys quarterback Romo), also co-wrote a song for her man, “You’re My Sunday” and, in a true modern-day sign of devotion, changed her cell phone number and e-mail address to cut off any potential communication from her exes.

“I don’t want anybody that’s been in my life [before] in my life anymore,” she says. “I don’t even want them to have any way of contacting me.”

Jessica Simpson, who rocketed to superstar fame by chronicling her marriage to Nick Lachey on MTV’s “Newlyweds“, is OK with being a tabloid target, even though it is a little hard sometimes.

In fact, Simpson says she’s in a pretty good place right now.

On the phone from Los Angeles, where she planned to hang out with friends, Simpson called to dish on everything from her new album, “Do You Know,” and working with Dolly Parton to the paparazzi, divorce and living a life in the very public eye.

Earlier this year, Jessica wore a T-shirt with the slogan “Real Girls Eat Meat.”

Some people thought Jess was taking a stab at singer Carrie Underwood, who is a vegetarian and the former girlfriend of Jessica’s current boyfriend Tony Romo.

PETA and Pamela Anderson also had an opinion on the T-Shirt, but I won’t even write what they said.

Jessica says she wasn’t completely surprised by the reaction, but insists it had nothing to do with Underwood.

Jessica has slammed reports boyfriend Tony Romo is still calling his ex Carrie Underwood — insisting she has proof that the pair haven’t been speaking.

“I looked at his call log,” Jess told a Nashville radio station Wednesday.

Underwood claimed in the September issue of Allure magazine that Romo had been ringing her. “The phone will ring and it’ll be him, and I’ll maybe not answer,” she said.
