Jessica Simpson has done a very good job of stealth dating post Nick Lachey. Though she has been rumored with several young Hollywood hunks, none have stuck and she has refused to confirm any of the alleged relationships.

Now it appears the cat and mouse moves to Jared Leto. Is this the man Jessica will move on with for a bit?

Star Magazine gives the details that the pair met up at the Double Seven, where Jessica, 25, was waiting. “Let’s just say Jessica was definitely expecting him!” a source tells the magazine.

Eyewitnesses said Jessica and Jared made no attempt to hide their sexy rendezvous. “Jared went right over to be near Jess, and sat down next to her. They were talking very closely,” said one source.

“Jessica was having a great time. She was dancing and seemed to really be enjoying herself,” said the source. Things got really heated later into the night. “They were draped all over each other. And it’s not like they were trying to hide it – a lot of people inside the lounge saw them openly flirting, and couldn’t believe their eyes.

“They looked like they were having a lot of fun together. But they didn’t kiss – that was at least one thing they kept out of public!”

Jessica fans have almost given up hope on a reconciliation with ex hubby Nick Lachey. Is Jared the guy that can make jes happy?

Certainly Nick Lachey is going to date and at some point he was bound to see someone that soon to be ex-wife Jessica Simpson approves of.

That time is reportedly now as Jess apparently has no trouble with Nick seeing rumored new flame Kimberly Kardashian, reports In Touch.

The two (Kim and Jess) were at a party together in Beverly Hills recently and Kim reportedly ducked out early once Jessica showed up. But the magazine report claims Kim needn’t worry, Jess is not angry about Nick’s new reported romance.

Though Jess and Nick reportedly are still talking on the phone constantly, the hopes for reconciliation have pretty much ended. And though it’s still too early for the one-time newlyweds to discuss their dating lives, they have been talking, In Touch details.

The report also notes that Jessica sent pal CaCee Cobb in to find out just how serious it had become with Kimberly.

And once she heard they were dating a friend tells the magazine that CaCee remarked, “It’s good to see he met someone nice.”

Jessica Simpson is refusing to hit back at estranged husband Nick Lachey in song on her next album ‘And The Band Played On’, and has featured tracks about her friends and family instead. While Lachey used their November 2005 split to inspire a series of tracks on his latest album ‘What’s Left Of Me’, including the rather tellingly-named ‘I Can’t Hate You Anymore’ and ‘On Your Own’. However, Simpson is refusing to sing about their break-up – despite living her married life in front of TV cameras for Newlyweds: Nick And Jessica. Her manager/father Joe says, “She’s talking about having fun with her girlfriends. “Enough has been said. Let’s go on and live our lives. “It’s a lot like Mariah’s (Carey) record, you know. They’re both the same kind of singers, they’re both ballad singers.”

Jessica Simpson will be getting her skates on in her next video – her roller skates. Director Brett Ratner will shoot the sexy pop star roller skating in new promo ‘Public Affair’. A thrilled Simpson can’t wait, stating, “I’m fired up. I’m so excited, it’s going to be awesome. I’m gonna be roller skating.”

Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs and singer Jessica Simpson had a red-carpet scuffle at the Council of Fashion Designers of America fashion awards on Monday.

Combs seemed eager to hog the spotlight by making a fashionably late entrance, but the pretty pop star had the same idea.

Diddy was then further angered when his former publicist, Rob Shuter, pushed Simpson ahead of him to steal the limelight.

The hip-hop mogul shouted, “Rob, don’t do that,” according to Page Six.

Thankfully the clash quickly dissolved and the pair posed for pictures together.
