Pop star and actress Jessica Simpson was such a fan of the Fox Reality show American idol that she reportedly supplied the female finalists with footwear from her shoe line.
But according to a published report – she may not be that enamored with blonde singer Kellie Pickler.
Us Weekly runs an item that reports that even tough Idol hopeful has tons of fans – Jess isn’t one of them.
The weekly celeb magazine details that while conducting red carpet interviews June 3 at the MTV Movie Awards – the 19-year old Pickler tried to get Jessica Simpson’s attention but was ignored.
“(Kellie) waved for (Jessica) to come over, but Simpson ignored her,” a source tells the Hot Stuff gossip column.
Of course – it could be as innocent as Jessica not noticing the wave with all the madness that surrounds red carpet events as large and noisy as the one at the MTV Awards.
Us Weekly once compared the two according to a note in Wikipedia:
“(Pickler) was compared to Jessica Simpson in a March 27 story in US Weekly magazine entitled “Kellie: The Next Jessica Simpson”, due to her “sweet southern style and ditzy demeanor.”
Later in a June 14 article, Kellie reportedly responded to the comparison by saying “Vocally, Jessica’s great, and she’s beautiful.”
Cue the reps: Both gave ‘Hot Stuff’ no comment on the alleged snub by Jessica.
While it’s apparent that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are headed for divorce court, she does have a man in her life. And know it’s not daddy Joe Simpson. If you ever catch a glimpse of Jessica, you’ll always see a blonde man with a slender build in the background.
