Mary Poppins always said a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down in the most delightful way – and apparently Jessica Simpson took the Disney nanny’s advice.
The ditzy blonde recently revealed that baking cakes got her through her breakup with ex-husband Nick Lachey.
The singer-turned-actress – who was filming “Employee of the Month” while going through the painful break-up – says cooking the tasty treats was the perfect way to cope with stress.
At the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday, she revealed, “I made cupcakes here and there. I love to bake so I would bring stuff to set all the time.”
She added, “I couldn’t be in a better place right now though. I’m learning a lot about guys and a lot about myself. The best relationship is when you know yourself and can give back.”
After the screening, Jessica revealed that she was so worried about what people would think of the film that she almost wet herself.
She confessed, “I had butterflies. I thought I was going to throw up or pee in my pants. I didn’t know which one I was going to do. I was so nervous.”
Meanwhile, ‘Jackass’ star Bam Margera has told shock jock Howard Stern he spent the night with Jessica – while she was still with Nick.
He revealed, “We wound up at her parents house drinking cocktails and it went from there… I left at 8 in the morning… and yes, she did look good naked. I can’t deny that.”
