Jessica Simpson has said she can’t understand the recent trend to go knickerless in Hollywood.

She told Hot Stars magazine recently: “I don’t understand what’s going on with that.”

“I’m the kind of girl who always puts my hand between my legs when I’m getting out of a car if I’m wearing a short skirt.

“I always wear underwear. It’s a personal rule.”

She also admitted that her infamous DD-boobs have got smaller as she’s lost weight but while they’re a great “accessory”, she’s not bothered about the size reduction: “They are like a good necklace. And I don’t mind that my boobs have shrunk a bit.”

“Too many men used to wind up staring at them anyway.”

Though John Mayer has been coy about his romance with Jessica Simpson in the past, the singer may be loosening up a bit more when it comes to discussing their relationship.

When asked by Time Out New York, “So, what about Jessica? According to Extra, you can’t deny you’re a couple anymore,” Mayer responds: “I don’t think I’ve ever denied it. When did I deny it?”

Adds Mayer, whose fans might think the crooner and the pop star are an odd match: “I’m having the best time of my life, so if the names don’t make sense to people, that’s so small to me.”

Mayer was most recently quizzed by Ryan Seacrest about Simpson on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. Mayer answered Seacrest in Japanese and suggested, “Find a Japanese person and decode it.”

It was decoded and it turns out Mayer said: “She’s a lovely woman and I’m glad to be with her.”

At Clive Davis’s pre-Grammy party that same weekend, Mayer refused to take the bait when asked whether he preferred blondes or brunettes (right after Simpson changed her hair color): “I prefer women,” he joked.

Simpson, 26, and Mayer, 29, have been spotted out together for months, including stops in Miami, New York and Los Angeles, but haven’t publicly discussed their relationship.

Jessica Simpson has a big fan in Mexico: Mama Lupita, who runs the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo.

“Last week, someone asked Mama Lupita if she could use a van at the orphanage,” a source close to Simpson tells PEOPLE.

“Mama Lupita said, ‘We have no transportation at all. Of course we could use it.’ So then she was told that she was getting a brand new eight-passenger van from Jessica Simpson for the orphanage.”

Adds the source: “She started to cry for three minutes straight and then said, ‘I can’t wait to give Jessica a big hug.’ ”

Simpson, 26, had won a Chrysler Crossfire sports car at a swag suite at the MTV’s Video Music Awards in the fall, but she asked Chrysler to exchange it for a minivan so she could help out the orphanage, the source says.

A spokesperson for Chrysler confirms: “Instead of the Chrysler Crossfire, she decided to get a minivan for the orphanage instead. She went for the Chrysler Town & Country.”

The van will be delivered early next month.

And Mama Lupita will soon have another reason to give Simpson a hug: The singer is auctioning off the sexy red dress she wears in her new Pizza Hut commercial, which debuted during the Super Bowl.

“She selling the dress on eBay,” says the source. “Proceeds from the dress will also go to help Casa Hogar.”

Why is she doing all of this? “The orphanage means so much to her,” the source says. “She wants to help Mama Lupita and everyone in the orphanage.”

The Pizza Hut spokesperson recently confessed to Elle magazine that Jessica Simpson is in fact allergic to cheese.

Jessica Simpson went to an allergist when she didn’t feel right about a meal and was told by her doctor that she is allergic to most of the ingredients of a pizza; cheese, tomatoes, wheat and also hot pepper!

Jessica was also told to avoid coffee, chocolate and corn.

In a commercial, which premiered during the Super Bowl, Jessica promoted the Pizza Hut food chain and was seen cooing over a slice of pepperoni pizza with cheese filled crust.
