Jessica Simpson is adamant the range of beachwear she has designed will bring happiness to the public. The star launched her swimsuit collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Miami, Florida on Saturday and believes her bathing suits will inspire the wearer to have fun. She tells MTV.com, “There’s always fun in a bathing suit. And you know that when people are buying a bathing suit, they’re buying it because they want to go do something to enjoy themselves, and that’s kind of where I’m at in my life.” Simpson hopes her bathing suits will help women shed their body inhibitions – and admits she suffers from cellulite and “fat rolls”. She explains, “(I’m) not afraid to celebrate a woman’s body. I do want to inspire people to fall in love with their body and be confident in who they are. I mean, I’ll show you that I have fat rolls. I have cellulite here and there, but I just want people to know that I’m a real person.”

It has taken a while but Jessica Simpson has finally managed to come to terms with her own beauty.

Before this happened, however, the ever-thoughtful singer used to dress down so as not to show up other, less attractive girls.

“I was always the girl who wore sweat pants and baseball caps to not be intimidating,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar, “but now I’ve learned to embrace beauty as part of my career, as part of my inner soul, as part of who I am.”

Family Room Entertainment Corporation has announced that principal photography for Jessica Simpson’s Major Movie Star has started in Shreveport, Louisiana. Family Room Entertainment Corporation’s wholly owned subsidiary, Emmett/Furla Films, is providing producing services in connection with the picture which is being co-produced and financed by a third party, Millennium Films.

The film centers on a pampered star (Simpson) who decides to enlist in the Marines to win approval from a producer and a studio who considers her unsuitable for an upcoming military-themed movie.

Upon arriving at Camp Pendleton, she realizes she’s made a mistake but decides to persist so she won’t let her country down.

Steve Miner, who directed the Emmett/Furla Films production, Day of the Dead, will direct this picture.

The only thing missing from Eva Longoria’s big fat French wedding last week was … good friend Jessica Simpson.

Eva and Jess have been good pals; Longoria appeared in Simpson’s “Public Affair” video and both share the same mane man, Ken Paves, but the ex Mrs. Lachey was nowhere to be found on the A-list TV star’s big day. Is there trouble in BFF-land?

So why was Jessica absent from the lavish festivities? Were the bridesmaids’ dresses that bad?! Was Jess not invited in order to make room for Sheryl Crow?!

Eva’a rep told TMZ, ” Jessica was invited to Eva and Tony’s wedding. They are really good friends. Unfortunately her cousin was also getting married on the same day!” Jessica’s rep confirmed to TMZ that she was unable to attend Eva’s wedding due to her cousin’s wedding in Texas.

That’s the price you pay for getting married on the most popular wedding day in history!

Jessica Simpson lost 20 pounds in the last few months and has now revealed the secret while showing off her new line of swimwear in Miami Beach Florida. The pop-star launched her swimsuit collection at a weekend show that had models walk the runway wearing suits for all body types.

She admits to a flaw. She told the Extra TV tabloid show “My worst flaw in life is procrastination.” But she has been working real hard to take twenty pounds off that “tiny frame.” It is more than a diet she explains. “It’s not a quick change, it’s a lifestyle change,” Simpson said. “There are still cheat days!”

Although she didn’t go into detail about her “cheat days”, she did admit to working out with her trainer Harley Pasternak for a few months. She followed his “Five Factor Diet”, which means she ate five small meals a day. Those meals included bison burgers and Cuban-style shredded beef.

The “Five Factor Diet” program does not include calorie counting or a reduction in carbohydrates, according to Pasternak.

She does have a trick that helps her show off that bikini body. “I’ve always done a certain thing with the string bikini,” she told the Extra television show. “I take a safety pin and do a rouching on the butt!”

She offers a wide range of swimwear. In the interview she said “We really have tried to reach out to every certain body type.” She has been working with her mother on the swimsuits.

Extra says that this is the latest “splash” in her fashion empire, which includes high heels and hot shades. Maybe she will market a sunblock “soon”, Simpson said.

Jessica Simpson takes a bow following the debut of her latest venture – a swimsuit line called Jessica Simpson Swim – at the Mercedes-Benz Miami Fashion Week in South Beach on Saturday. Simpson tells People magazine the line showcases “different parts of my personality,” from “all-American girl to bohemian.”

Jessica Simpson will close Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim with the launch of her new swimwear line at the Raleigh Hotel on Saturday, July 14. You can bet your bottom dollar Jessica is going to be strutting her stuff down the runway too in one of her 40 swimwear designs!!!

For summer 2008, Jessica and her team of stylists have created a swimwear collection which features sexy designs and modest one-piece suits. The new line features three distinct styles:

– The “All American Girl” look celebrates the classic girl with fabulous vintage red, white and blue bangles, bobble earrings and sun hats. The look, which also includes straw bags and vintage election pins, is topped off with vintage silk scarves and floral brooches from.

– The “Boho Girl” is funkier and is celebrated with earth tones paired with silver hammered jewelry inlaid with lapis and other various stones. Straw hats and vibrant colored scarves paired with bamboo bangles finish off the look with that unique Boho feel.

– The “Retro Hawaiian Girl” look is a combination of bright & natural colors along with different textures compliments this retro Hawaiian look. Sun hats and bright bangles along with a straw bag provide an overall, laid-back beach look.
