Jessica Simpson Now Regrets Her Split With Nick Lachey?

Jessica Simpson reportedly is low-balling Nick Lachey when it comes to the divorce. And published reports say the finalization of the split is steaming ahead, and could perhaps be concluded in as little as two weeks.

Trouble is – Jessica may be having second thoughts and is having a bit of regret according to Star Magazine.

The report claims that after half a year on the singles scene, Jessica Simpson has no new men.

“Things haven’t exactly been idyllic for Jess,” says a source close to Jessica cited in Star.

“And now she has just enough distance from Nick to see all the good things about their relationship. She’s definitely feeling regret about her decision to leave him — and she thinks maybe she threw in the towel too fast.”

Since giving Nick, 32, the boot last year, Jessica has been linked to a number of men, including Jude Law and Adam Levine, with whom she had a short-lived romance.

But Jess, who the source says misses having a soul mate to come home to, hasn’t yet found love. “Jessica’s learning that most men aren’t as interested in commitment as Nick was. The fling with Adam left her feeling empty,” says the source. “That relationship was based on nothing more than intense physical attraction.”

Will they give it a second shot?

It’s hard to say as Nick certainly isn’t having any problem with attention. And reports claim that friends say that he’s been busy moving on to a new relationship of his own with stylist Kimberly Kardashian and it may be serious.

The clock is ticking – at least on the first marriage. If they are to reconcile they had better move quickly.
